FCC imposes $100,000 privacy fine

The FCC has imposed a $100,000 fine on Amp'd Mobile for "failing to comply with rules requiring that consumer phone records be protected by internal safeguards." techdirt suggests that such a fine is a joke because the fine itself probably less than implementing the corrections. This is a standard fine which the FCC has imposed on a handful of similar companies in recent years for the same reason, a reason which would make it really easy for hackers to acquire costumer phone records.
